Well you wonderful scholars, I have a confession...I do not really like the holiday of Halloween. I know, I know, how terrible! Don't get me wrong, I love chocolate which you get on Halloween, but all that candy! Yikes! So here is my question: What do you do with all your Halloween candy? What do you do with the extra? Any good ideas? Maybe there are some good ideas in "internet space".
Hello 5th Grade Scholars! I enjoyed a wonderful week with you all in the fresh mountain air! On my way home, I started thinking about mountains versus the ocean and which I prefer. So I pose this question: Would you rather spend a week in the mountains surrounded by pine trees or a week at the ocean surrounded by sun (sometimes fog) and sand?
Hope to hear from you! Mrs. Roda Aren't they soooooo cute! Almost all the scholars finished sewing and accessorizing their monsters today. They are officially ready to sew buttons on shirts or patch pants. It is a great skill to know!
Mystery Skype was fabulous! Yes, fabulous! After practicing twice with me as their mystery location, the scholars were set to go. I sat back and watched them in action. Proud teacher! Each job was taken care of, and we solved the mystery. Our mystery class was located in Grass Valley, CA. The geography learning that came out this lesson could not be matched. Awesome and can't wait to try it again!
Way to go scholars! |
